MyMUL recruitment: MLA questions agenda of Milk Body’s meeting

August 17, 2020

Mysore/Mysuru: Questioning the agenda of MyMUL(Mysuru Milk Union Limited) meeting slated later this evening during which the contentious recruitment to the Milk Body is most likely to be discussed, K.R. Nagar JD(S) MLA S.R. Mahesh wondered why at all the meeting is convened in a hurry.

Addressing press persons at his office near Rama Vilas Road here this morning, Mahesh accused MyMUL of going ahead with the recruitment despite the Karnataka High Court’s interim order passed on Aug.13, 2020 directing the authorities not to proceed with the final selection list without leave of the Court.

Alleging a huge scam in the recruitment, he contended though he was not against the recruitment itself, his fight is only against the corrupt deals that is going on, depriving the deserving candidates of jobs. Asserting that he would not let the deserving candidates to stand to lose, the MLA maintained that he would take up their cause till the very end.

Referring to the recent violence in Bengaluru, Mahesh said that the violence in K.G. Halli and D.J. Halli Police Station limits is most unfortunate, which could have been prevented had the Police been alert. Accusing the State Government of Intelligence failure, he wanted the Government to take stern action against the arsonists who torched the house of an MLA, a Police Station and scores of vehicles and other properties.

Zilla Panchayat (ZP) Member M.T. Kumar, JD(S) leader Prakash Priyadarshan and others were present during the press meet.
