Mysore Merchants Co-operative Bank presents Pratibha Puraskar

Mysuru:  City-based Mysore Merchants Cooperative Bank had organised a Pratibha Puraskar function for the children of its members who had scored high marks in SSLC and PUC examinations.

The function was held at a private hotel in city on Saturday where more than 46 students were felicitated.

Speaking after presenting the Pratibha Puraskar award to students, former Vice-Chancellor of University of Mysore (UoM)  and renowned scientist, Prof. K.S. Rangappa said that Engineers, Doctors and Scientists are working tirelessly towards building a strong India. “More than the Governments, private organisations are encouraging talented students and doing pro-society works. Talented students must make good use of this encouragement and engage themselves in nation building activities in sectors of their choice,” he added.

Stating that recognising talents in children encourages them to pursue higher studies and will enable the next generation of Engineers, Doctors and Scientists to contribute for the development of the society, he advised youths to have a foresight in this regard. “If you fail once in reaching your goal, don’t get disheartened. Overcome your obstacles with perseverance and hardwork to realise your ambition,” concluded Prof. Rangappa.

Sportspersons A. Bhuvana and Vihan K. Shetty were also felicitated at the function.
