Yoga Day at educational institutions

Mysuru: Seshadripuram Degree College, Hebbal, Mysuru, in collaboration with the IQAC, NSS, NCC, YRC, Gandhi Study Centre, Chethana – Alumni Association, AICTE, Yoga Sangama and the Department of Physical Education and Sports, had organised a Yoga Session on the theme ‘One Earth, One Health’ at the College Seminar Hall, to celebrate International Day of Yoga on June 21.

The programme was inaugurated with a symbolic gesture of watering a plant.

The chief guest of the event was Dr. A.S. Chandrashekar, Karnataka Rajyotsava Awardee and renowned Yoga Guru. Under his expert guidance, the yoga session was conducted.

Around 100 participants, including NSS and NCC volunteers, actively took part  in the session.

The event was attended by  Dr. K. Sowmya Erappa, Principal; Ananth Raju from Vikram Weekly Newspaper; P.R. Gurumurthy Bhat, NSS Programme Officer; Lt. R. Kumar, NCC Officer; R. Vinay, YRC Coordinator; R. Nagendra, Physical Education Director and R.C. Krupaliny, Convener of the Gandhi Study Centre.
