Mysterious sack creates panic in Lakshmipuram

June 8, 2026

A mysterious plastic sack found in front of a house created panic among the public prompting Police to rush to the spot. The Cops restricted public from going close to the mysterious sack and conducted an inspection.

The incident took place in front of a house near Lakshmipuram Post Office yesterday.

Though the plastic sack was found lying in front of the house since yesterday morning, the residents and public had not keenly observed the sack. But the residents of the house who observed the plastic sack lying in front of their house in the evening assumed that someone in a bid to tarnish their image may have thrown the sack in front of their house to cause problems.

The residents of the house panicked and fear gripped them as they thought that the plastic sack may contain explosives, weapons or items used for black magic and informed the jurisdictional Lakshmipuram Police.

Police, who rushed to the spot, pacified the panicked residents and instilled confidence in them. Later, two Cops went near the plastic sack but could not make out what was inside it and stood near the sack for some time. The two Cops then shook the plastic sack and saw red mud dust falling from it. They then opened the sack and emptied it only to find red mud, much to the relief of everyone.

But how did the plastic sack land in front of the house, was the question lingering in everyone’s mind.

It is learnt that someone had dumped the sack containing red mud into the garbage collection vehicle and the sack had fallen off from the garbage vehicle while it was moving in front of the house.
