Mystery shrouds death of PU student

Family members say it is a murder

Hunsur: Mystery shrouds over the death of a 18-year-old PU student whose body was found floating in the lake on the outskirts of Gawadagere village in the taluk on Tuesday. He is Abhishek, son of Ganapathi of Gawadagere. 

Abhishek from Karnataka Public School at Gawadagere had gone missing and his family members had launched a search for him but in vain. 

But yesterday morning, Abhishek’s body was found floating in the lake.

About three days ago, Abhishek was playing with a few boys and he had fought with them who were younger to him who later had assaulted Abhishek, it is learnt. 

A few of his friends had also made fun of him for getting beaten by boys younger to him. Upset by this, Abhishek had jumped into the lake and ended his life, said initial reports. 

Meanwhile, Abhishek’s family members said that Abhishek was soft spoken and expressed doubts about Abhishek committing suicide.  Hunsur Rural Police, who have registered a case are investigating.
