Mystery shrouds villager’s death in H.D. Kote

H.D. Kote: Mystery shrouded the death of a man who was found hanging at the bus shelter in Savvemala village in the taluk this morning.

The deceased has been identified as Shivaprakash (45), son of Marigowda of the village.

It is learnt that property dispute among the family members had led Shivaprakash to take the extreme step. But the villagers have suspected it to be a murder as Shivaprakash’s knees were resting on the ground when   found hanging.

Shivaprakash, one of the seven children of Marigowda, had built a house and was taking care of the family. He had a good name in the village.

But, quarrels over property used to take place frequently between the family members and the village elders had held a meeting to solve the issue as other family members was demanding a share from the house Shivaprakash had built.

Shivaprakash, had left the house yesterday morning without informing others and his body was found hanging today morning. H.D. Kote Police, who rushed to the spot today, conducted mahazar and shifted the body to the hospital for post-mortem and later handed over the body to Shivaprakash’s wife Bharati.

The Police said that the death note found in his person stated that he (Shivaprakash) was responsible to his death.

H.D. Kote SI Ashok, who has registered a case in this regard has collected various documents from the house of the deceased and is investigating.
