Mysureans in Indian Men’s Chess Deaflympics team

Two Mysuru Deaf Chess players — K.M. Shashidhara and S. Adish — have been selected to represent the Indian Men’s Deaflympics Chess team in the 19th Winter Deaflympics 2019 Games to be held at Valtellina-Valchiavenna, Italy, from Dec.12 to 21.

The two players have earned selection to the Indian Deaflympics Men’s Chess team on the basis of their performance in the 21st National Chess Championships of the Deaf held at Jaipur, Rajasthan.

Shashidhara and Adish are the only two deaf chess players selected from Karnataka to the six-member Indian Men’s Chess team.
