‘Mysuru as Yoga City’

Mysuru: District AYUSH Officer Dr. Renukadevi said that the cultural capital of the State, Mysuru, will also be made a Yoga City and  a pivotal  hub for all yoga activities. 

She was speaking after inaugurating State-level Educational Institutions Yoga contest and National-level open Yogasana Sports Championship-2026 organised by G.K. Vinyasa Yoga Kendra and Srikrishna Yogas  at Yoga Mantapa, Mysore University’s Sports Pavilion, recently. 

“Yoga plays an important role in maintaining both physical and mental health. Everyone should make practising yoga a habit in their everyday life,” she said. 

Yogacharya P.N. Ganesh Kumar and MLA T.S. Srivatsa also spoke. More than 500 yoga exponents took part in contests.
