Mysuru DC’s Office gears up for video-conference with PM tomorrow

Mysore/Mysuru: The Deputy Commissioner’s Office in city has geared up for the all-important video-conference with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on COVID-19 situation in the district scheduled to take place at 11 am tomorrow.

The KSWAN (Karnataka State Wide Area Network) Video-Conference Hall in the first floor of the DC’s Office has been spruced up for tomorrow’s video-conference. Apart from Deputy Commissioner Rohini Sindhuri, District Minister S.T. Somashekar and all District-level Officers on COVID duty will take part in the video-conference. In case the District Minister is not in the headquarters (Mysuru), he can join the virtual conference from the place he is.

The entire Video-Conference Hall has been readied and all the electronic equipment were checked and tested today for their functioning.

Mysuru DC is one among the Deputy Commissioners of  17 COVID high caseload districts of the State  with whom the Prime Minister will interact tomorrow.

CM to hold video-conference this evening

 As a prelude to Prime Minister Modi’s interaction tomorrow, Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa will be holding a virtual meeting with the Deputy Commissioners of all the 17 districts, including Mysuru DC, at 4.30  this evening to take stock of the latest COVID-19 situation in their respective districts.

In Mysuru, the virtual meeting will take place at the DC’s Office which will be attended by DC Rohini Sindhuri, ZP CEO A.M. Yogesh, SP C.B. Ryshyanth, DHO Dr. T. Amarnath, District Surgeon Dr. Rajeshwari and other top officials.
