Mysuru girls fare well at State Women’s Chess Championship

Nisha N. Patkar with 7.5 points from eight rounds clinched the women’s chess title in the Karnataka State Women’s Chess Championship-2019 held at Bengaluru from May 31 to June 2.

Mysuru’s M. Tulsi (6 points – 12th place) and Prasiddhi Bhat (5.5 points – 13th place) fared well. Mandya’s WCM A.N. Shefali (6 points) finished a creditable seventh.

1. Nisha N. Patkar (7.5), 2. Isha Sharma (6.5-46), 3. Sanjana Raghunath (6.5-43.5), 4. A. Ananya (6.5-42), 5. Shriya R. Revankar (6-43), 6. V. Renganayaki (6-42.5), 7. A.N. Shefali (6-42), 12. M. Tulsi (6-39) and 13. Prasiddhi Bhat                    (5.5-42.5).
