Karaga procession on May 11 night

Mysore: Sri Renukadevi Karaga Devasthana Trust, Manasara Road, Ittigegud in city, will be conducting the 95th Mysuru Karaga Mahotsava from May 8 to 12.

The Karaga Mahotsava will commence with the abhisheka to the deity at 6 am on May 8, following which a procession of milk cans will be taken out from Ittigegud’s Nagalakshmi Temple to the foot of Chamundi Hill. The Utsava will take place on the night of May 8, 9 and 10 on all the streets of Ittigegud.

The famous Karaga procession will be taken out from the Temple at 8 pm on May 11. The procession will pass through the City Palace office, Chamaraja Double Road (11 pm), N.S. Road (12 midnight), Vinoba Road, Shivarampet and Sayyaji Rao Road (1 am), Mission Hospital Road and Kabir Road (2 am), K.T. Street and Irwin Road (3 am), Kurubageri and Kumbarageri (4 am), Ashoka Road (5 am), Nazarbad (6.30 am) and Zoo Road (8 am), before returning to the Temple at 9 am on May 12.
