Mysuru:  Railway employees, under the banner of South Western Railway Mazdoor Union (SWRMU), staged a demonstration in front of the hospital on Thursday, condemning the transfer of two doctors serving at the Railway Hospital on KRS Road here.

Alleging that Dr. Shivakumar and Dr. Shobha Jagannath, who were serving at the hospital were transferred for no reason, they urged the cancellation of  transfer orders.

Recalling the services of Dr. Shivakumar and Dr. Shobha, they urged the Railway authorities to immediately cancel the transfer and retain them in Railway Hospital.

Later, they submitted a memorandum to the DRM through the Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr. Patil and warned of an indefinite hunger stir if the transfer order was not cancelled.

SWRMU office-bearers Somashekar, Shivakumar, Umashankar, Anil Kumar, Mohan Kumar, Sripathi and others took part in the protest.
