Mysuru Mutt installs CCTV cameras in kitchen

December 22, 2018

Mysuru:  In the wake of Sulwadi Temple tragedy, that claimed 16 lines, the city’s Tripura Bhairavi, Mutt, located on Shivarampet Road in the heart of the city, took all sorts of precautionary measures while preparing prasadam for Hanuma Jayanti celebrations on Thursday.

The Mutt installed surveillance cameras in the kitchen and surrounding areas and the head of the Mutt Krishnamondagiri Swami himself monitored the feeding to devotees. Other members of the Mutt also kept strict vigil. The nearly 200-year-old temple was closed to devotees for over 35 years due to various issues and was reopened only three years ago. Prasadam is distributed every day and for the first time, the temple had initiated ‘Anna Dasoha’ as part of Hanuma Jayanti.
