Mysuru researchers get BBAY Award

Mysuru: Dr. M. Shivalinge Gowda, N. Abhishek and M.S. Divyashree of Mysuru were selected for Best Business Academic of the Year (BBAY) Award, 2018 of Indian Commerce Association for the research paper on ‘An analysis of compliance level of Global Reporting Initiative in Indian scenario’ and has won Silver Medal at the 71st All India Commerce Conference held at Osmania University, Hyderabad, from Dec.20 to 22.

More than 1,000 research papers were received for four technical sessions and one seminar in the Conference.

The BBAY award is given to a researcher after following standard methodology of six month period of evaluation and reviewing by the panel experts in the area of Commerce and Management as per pre-established criteria.

The selection procedure is a four stage long process. In the first stage, papers are examined and classified into four categories. At the second stage, two best papers are short-listed from each session on the basis of presentation made by the author and followed by detailed discussions by the experts and other researchers. At the third stage, authors of all the ten best papers are required to explain the policy implication of the paper and then at the final stage, after review of experts consisting of another renowned expert in the area of Commerce and Management, BBAY award is given.

The BBAY award has been instituted under the aegis of the ICA with effect from 2005 in order to encourage the intellectuals in the field of research in Commerce and Management.

Dr. M. Shivalingegowda is the Principal of K. Puttaswamy First Grade College, N. Abhishek is the UGC-JRF Scholar pursuing Ph.D under the guidance of Dr. M.L. Ashok, DoS in Commerce, University of Mysore and Divyashree is the Assistant Professor at GFGC, Uppinangady.
