Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar Rover Crew inaugurated

Mysuru: The ‘Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar Rover Crew,’ a unit of Bharat Scouts & Guides, Mysuru, for the year 2017-18 was inaugurated recently at Vidyavardhaka First Grade College by V.M. Ramachandra, Secretary, Bharat Scouts & Guides, Chamarajanagar.

Speaking about the importance of Scouts and Guides in one’s life, he explained that the Scouts and Guides stood above all differences  like caste, creed, religion and country and they were ready to face all challenges.

Citing the example of Neil Armstrong, who along with his national flag hoisted the Scouts and Guides flag on the moon, Ramachandra also explained that there was no age limit to join Scouts and Guides movement.

Abdul Jameel, Member, Governing Council, Vidyavardhaka Sangha and Secretary, Bharat Scouts & Guides, said that, Scouts and Guides is a voluntary service which is functioning in more than 217 countries.

Dr.Gurumurthy, guest of honour, emphasised that it was important to adapt oneself to the values and ethics of the Scouts and Guides to be a responsible citizen of India.

P Vishwanath, International Commissioner, Bharat Scouts & Guides, India and Chief Commissioner, Bharat Scouts & Guides, Mysuru, who presided, recalled that during the regime of Nalwadi,  Scouts and Guides received a lot of patronage.

Principal Dr. S. Marigowda was present along with Prof. H. J. Chandrashekar, Advisor, Crew Activities and R. Aravind, Rover Scout Leader. Nandan proposed a vote of thanks.
