Nanjangud Temple records Rs. 1.41 cr. hundi collection

Nanjangud: The famed Srikanteshwaraswamy Temple at Nanjangud, recorded a hundi collection of Rs. 1.41 crore in a one month period. The counting of the temple hundis was taken up on Friday, during which Rs. 1,41,15,000 in cash, 125-gram of gold jewellery, 6-kg of silver articles and 32 foreign currencies were found.

However, two banned currency of Rs. 1,000 denomination  and 12 banned currency of Rs. 500 denomination were found, even after six years of note ban.
