Sir,
I wish to draw the attention of the authorities concerned to the problems faced by commuters due to the narrow Railway underbridge at K.G. Koppal.
The underbridge is too narrow to accommodate the increasing volume of vehicles using this route every day. During peak hours, cars, buses, two-wheelers and autorickshaws struggle to pass through simultaneously, resulting in long traffic queues and unnecessary delays.
The bottleneck not only causes severe congestion but also increases the risk of accidents, especially when larger vehicles attempt to cross the underbridge.
As K.G. Koppal is a busy residential and commercial area, the existing infrastructure is no longer adequate for the present traffic load. Widening the underbridge or adopting suitable traffic management measures would greatly improve vehicular movement and enhance road safety for all commuters.
I request the Railway authorities, Mysuru City Corporation, and the Traffic Police to take immediate steps to address this long-pending issue in the interest of the travelling public.
