Mysuru:  The Department of Studies in Library and Information Science, University of Mysore, in association with Sarada Ranganathan Endowment for Library Science (SRELS) and Mysore University Information and Library Science Alumni Network (MILAN) has organised ‘National Librarians’ Day celebration on Aug. 21 at 3 pm at Dr. S.R. Ranganathan Hall, DoS in Library and Information Science, UoM, Manasagangothri in city to commemorate the 127th birthday of Dr. S. R. Ranganathan.

On this occasion, former Head of British Council Libraries (India) P. Jayarajan will speak on the topic ‘The Public Library System of India: Future Possibilities.’  Former Vice-Chancellor of Kuvempu University Prof. P. Venkataramaiah will preside over the function, according to press release.
