Mysuru – Institute for Smart Structures and Systems (ISSS) Founder Padma Bushan Dr. Vasudev K. Aatre (in pic.), who is also a former Scientific Advisor to the Government of India, will inaugurate a two-day National Workshop “MEMS and Microsystems’ at Vidya Vikas Institute of Engineering and Technology on Bannur Road at 10 am on Apr.10. He will deliver a talk on ‘Smart Structures and Systems.’

Dr. Vasudev K. Aatre, who is considered as one of the pillars of DRDO, is credited with the design of light combat aircraft Tejas. He is also instrumental in introducing Radio frequency MEMS (Sensor Technology) to India’s Defence sector.

He had served as Director General of DRDO and Director of Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA).
