October 5, 2021

Mysore/Mysuru: In view of the Covid-19 cases still prevailing and under third wave threat in Mysuru, the private Navarathri celebrations at the Mysore Palace during the current year will be carried out only as a ritual in keeping with the tradition sans participation or presence of family members including visitors and media, said Pramoda Devi Wadiyar in a press release.

“This is a preventive measure to contain the spread of Covid-19. Members of the media and public are requested to extend their wholehearted cooperation in this regard,” the release added.

Sound and Light Show suspended till Oct. 21

Meanwhile, the Mysore Palace Board authorities have suspended the Sound and Light Show in the Palace premises from Oct. 4 to 21.
