New Mysuru-Bengaluru train from May 13

May 3, 2017

Mysuru: Taking into consideration the demands of a large number of people, especially workers from the unorganised sector, the South Western Railway (SWR) will introduce one more train from Mysuru to Hubballi via Bengaluru from May 13, 2017.

The new train will be called Hubballi-Mysuru Daily Express and will leave Mysuru at  6 am and reach Krantivira  Sangolli Rayanna Station in Bengaluru at 8.45 am.

The train will leave Bengaluru at 8.50 am to reach Tumakuru at 10.38 am and will reach Hubballi at 7 pm.

From the opposite direction, the other pair will leave Hubballi at 8.45 am, arrive in Tumakuru at 4.17 pm and leave Tumakuru at 4.45 pm to reach Bengaluru at 5.45 pm. The train will leave Bengaluru at 5.50 pm and reach Mysuru at 8.40 pm.

The new train will facilitate thousands of government employees and workers from unorganised sector from Mysuru to reach their work places on the Mysuru-Bengaluru route. The train is expected to ease pressure on Chamundi Express that leaves Mysuru at 6.45 am. This train will also help reduce traffic between Bidadi and Tumakuru.

Speaking to Star of Mysore this morning, Railway sources said that the train was a long-pending demand of garment, manufacturing and unorganised sector workers.

The train will have 18+2 Deen Dayalu coaches. The train will start from Ashokapuram Railway Station and will stop at Mysuru Railway Station before leaving for Bengaluru.

With the introduction of Hubballi-Mysuru Daily Express, a total of 25 pairs of trains will run between the two cities.

    Dear Sir
This is a good move by adding a new train , but will the reserved persons get the seat from bangalore to mysore or fron mysore to bangalore , at prsent when ever we book on this train , nor the ticket collector comes nor we get the full seat, even after paying more we are punished ,will railways look into this problem of reserved ticket ppl ,

  3. Narayana swamy says:

Very Long pending demand fulfilled. If there is will there is way. An example of “sensitive Govt responding to the miseries of common people” Thanks to Sri. Prabhuji Rly Minister. Ache din aneka saboot.

Atlast Railways has introduced the additional train to Mysore at evening time.

I appeal train can leave at 5.30pm instead of 5.50pm . So that it will helps govt. Officials and unorganized sectors workman.

An efforts may also be made to postpone of Evening 3.30 PM passenger train to 4.30 PM so it enable poor and working class mass people can utilize the same, since evening from 3.30pm to 6.15pm their is no train towards Mysore.

That’s awesome new’s it will help all the working class people…..
I would also suggest the respected SWR to introduce a rail connection between mysuru and Coimbatore ksrtc traveling is very very troublesome for my little children and my old aged parent… Please do something about it…..

    • Akanksh says:

Are u joking. The satyamangalam ghats are such a burden to travel even by car and you want a train to run from there. Practically not feasible considering the passenger and goods traffic between. You can always travel to Coimbatore on train via Bangalore bit takes a lot more time

  8. Rajashekar says:

Please introduce more number of trains between Mysore & Bangalore after double track is open for traffic.

  9. Siddhu says:

    Great…. Thanks to Railway department…..

  10. Arvind Rangan says:

This is real good news after long time, travelling during festival or holidays is real pain in jam packed Chamundi both morning and evening.
Let us observer how the new train would change the flow of the system.

  11. Ravi says:

Good step taken by SWR, request to stop at chamarajapuram railway station is very essential. If continued till Belgaum we will be proud of SWR decission .

  12. Fulfilling long pending requirement. Timings are OK.
They can Ashoka Puram Mysore ass bigger station. If Coach breaking is shifted to Kadalola, We get another 3 Platforms from where new trains can be started. This also reduces load on Mysore main station

  13. Dr Murali says:

Great work to help the working class. I would like to thank the railway for keeping the platforms and specially toilets clean which was a great agony and blot on the Railways for all these years. Even the maintainence of timing has greatly improved .kudos to the persons responsible and specially to Our Railway minister Sri prabhu ji.

  14. Dr Murali says:

Great work. Kudos to Railway s and sri prabhu ji .Ache din ahraha hi.

  15. M.H.SHYAMAPRASAD says:

THIS IS REALLY A VERY GOOD DECISION. MORE SUCH TRAINS SHALL BE STARTED VERY SOON.MORNING TWO MORE TRAINS ARE REQUIRED FROM MYSORE TO BANGALORE AT 7.00 A.M. AND 7.30 A.M AND EVENING AT 6.00 P.M. AND 6.30 P.M.

  16. Sathisha MS says:

Ya,, very good news. Weekly I’m travelling between Mysure to Bengaluru. Almost double tracking has completed, but still train timing ( journey time) has not changed. Still Chamundi takes 3 hours between two cities.

  17. Ravikumara. B says:

Good news for who is daily travelling to Mysore to Bangalore. I would thank to Mr. Prathap Shima, Mr. Suresh Prabhu and SWR.
This train starts from Ashokapuram this is very good steps taken by SWR. It is useful thousands of passengers.
Also, I kindly request SWR Chamundi express train also It must start from Ashokapuram station.

    Thanks with Regards

  18. Lokesh B P says:

Good decission & step taken by Rly department,Timings is also good for the train users from Arasikere/Tiptur.We want to know that is this train stops at all stations or not ? is it a passenger/fast passenger/express ?

    • Shanth Kumar says:

Really it is a good move… Million thanks to SWR Mysore and railway minister. Suggest swr Mysore to keep 30 minutes gap between Chamundi express and new train.it will be further helpful if the train originates from Chamarajanagar .

  19. Punith ML says:

this train while returning from Hubli will never keep on the time ,it might never reach at stipulated 5.45 pm. if we look at the Siddaganga/ tippu express ,(so called super fast express, which is not worth it) will never come on time to SBC. There is always delay of 15-20 min. So how can this train maintain time to leave SBC at 5.50pm?
Indian railways need to keep up the time in order to help passenger reach destination on time . instead always there will be Delay in the train due to there Inefficiency work.

    • Goutham says:

Pointed out exactly, 20 mins gap is pretty less…. It will regurlarly delay chamundi express also

  20. Shanth Kumar says:

Time keep up and allignment of train timings in accordance with the needs of the passenger is very much important for generating higher revenue to railways.

  21. Paneendra says:

Bangalore need Suburban electrical train which runs every hour
    1) bangalore to mysore

    5)Bangalore to chikkaballapur

  22. Srinivas says:

Very good initiative and it will help all citizens, especially it will help for people who are travelling daily from Mysore to Bangalore.

  23. Srinivas BS says:

Requested to provide stop at Yeshwanthpur Railway station also . It is more helpful for Bangalore North people. It saves more than 1 hour for reaching Majestic railway station to catch this train.

  24. ANANDA says:

Please we required for 2 hrs reaching trains from bangalore to mysore….please maintain timings…..
    ksrtc dont have time sence….

  25. Basayya says:

    Clean city express

  26. Nithin says:

A very good move by south western railways. Intoduction of this train has definitely helped Mysoreans as I could understand from all the comnents. I , being a frequent traveller to davangere, this train will be of immense use because of its proposed timings bangalore departure 9 am. After jan shatabdi (blore dep. 6 am) there was no trail till 1 pm (intetcity exp) to hubli. So, the intro of this new train will help all the commuters travelling towards hubli to a greatest extent . Thanks to PM and railway minister.

  27. Vinod says:

From Banglore to mysore reduce the timings .please introduce Train like tippu super fast train it helps lots of employees to travel daily without tired . Try to change ur minds . In Japan and others country a person travels daily more than 2000 kilometre per day by 2.00 hours .but in India after double track also journey between mysore and Banglore more than 3 hours

its May 15 and train is not introduced, Any updates ??

  30. Ranganath says:

Its May 17th and still no updates on the Train
What is the Train No ?

  31. Shanth Kumar says:

Let this new train starts from Mysore at 6.30 in stead of 6.00 AM since push pull train leaves at 5.50 from Mysore and from Bangalore at 5.30 PM in stead of 5.50 PM. We need one more weekly train on Monday from mysore at 7.30 AM.

  32. Mamata says:

If it leaves tumkur around 5 pm then it will also helps working people who returns to bangalore or Mysore.. because around at 4.15 already there is a pushpull train from tumkur to bangalore.. Then from bangalore if it reach tumkur around 10 pm it is very helpful..
