Newly elected MLC Raghu Kautilya felicitated at BJP Office in city

Mysuru: The newly-elected MLC Raghu Kautilya was felicitated by Mysuru City and District BJP  office-bearers and party workers at BJP Head Quarters located at Chamarajapuram in city,  on Saturday.  

Speaking on the occasion, Raghu Kautilya said that several BJP MLAs had cross-voted in the June 18 Legislative Council Polls in violation of the party guidelines and the party would take action against them.  

Noting that the BJP has taken the cross-voting seriously, he said that the party top brass has formed a fact-finding committee to find out the culprit MLAs who have betrayed the party.  

Thanking the BJP leadership for giving him an opportunity to enter the Upper House, he said, he would serve the party and the people to the best of his ability. 

BJP MLA T.S. Srivatsa sees conspiracy 

Meanwhile, alleging that his own partymen had plotted against him and indulged in a false campaign that his vote got invalidated in the just concluded Legislative Council Polls, KR BJP MLA T.S. Srivatsa asserted that he was cautious enough to cast his vote properly and there was no question of his vote getting invalidated. 

Speaking to media persons at the BJP Head Office on Saturday, Srivatsa saw a conspiracy behind the false campaign against him. “I have cast my vote with utmost caution and conscience. It is totally wrong to say that my vote got invalidated due to improper marking,” he said, wondering whether the Election Commission had issued any official information in this regard. 

Reiterating that his own partymen was behind this false campaign against him, Srivatsa said, he has brought this matter to the notice of the party top brass. He further said that the fact-finding committee will discover who were the party MLAs who cross-voted in the Legislative Council Polls.
