Newspaper vendors demand special package

May 22, 2021

Mysore/Mysuru: Saraswathipuram Paper Vendors Association has urged the State Government to consider them as frontline workers and announce a special package for them.

In a press release, they said that the newspaper vendors have been a part and parcel of print media and deliver newspapers to citizens, rain or shine.

However, they were feeling scared to work in the current second wave of COVID-19 which was much dangerous than the previous one. They have suffered loss due to clamping of total lockdown.

Considering all these facts, the Government must consider them as frontline workers and extend them a special package.
