NIE Institute of Technology (NIEIT) recently felicitated the talented sportspersons who had represented Viswesvaraya Technological University (VTU) in South Zone and All India Inter-University Championships held during 2016-17 academic year.

The students who were honoured include, Samarth Nagaraj (Lawn Tennis) 8th Semester Mechanical Engineering, took part in the South Zone Inter-University Championship held at Savitha University, Chennai Mandara Nagendra (Softball), 8th Semester, Information Science Engineering; Sneha V. Rao (Softball), 6 Semester Information Science Engineering, D. Sahana (Softball), 6th Semester Information Science Engineering and Achuthananda (Softball), 6th Semester Mechanical Engineering, participated at the All India Inter University held at Kannur University, Kerala; Abhinav Kumar, 4th Semester, Electricals and Eletronics Engineering participated at the All India Inter University Cross Country Race organised by Mangalore University and Amogh, 4th Semester, Mechanical Engineering represented South Zone Inter-University Football Tournament held at Calicut University, Kerala.
