Nominations to 52 Boards, Corporations, Authorities recalled

Mysore/Mysuru: With hardly 10 months to go for the Assembly polls, the State Government yesterday recalled the nominations made to 52  State-run Boards, Corporations and other Authorities. New Chairpersons and Vice-Chairpersons for these authorities are likely to be nominated in a day or two to replace the Chairmen and Vice-Chairmen who have completed 18 months in office.

The announcement came at Bengaluru just a few hours after CM Basavaraj Bommai told reporters at Mysore Airport (the CM was on way to flood-affected districts of Kodagu, DK, Udupi and Uttara Kannada) yesterday that BJP Core Committee has decided to replace party functionaries heading Boards and Corporations for over 18 months.

Those who will be replaced include ZAK (Zoo Authority of Karnataka) Chairman L.R. Mahadevaswamy, Jungle Lodges and Resorts (JLR) Ltd. Chairman Appanna, Mysore Paints & Varnish Chairman N.V. Phaneesh, KEA (Karnataka Exhibition Authority) Chairman Hemanth Kumar Gowda, CADA (Cauvery) Chairman N. Shivalingaiah, Kannada Book Authority Chairman Nandeesh Hanche, Khadi & Village Industries Board Chairman N.R. Krishnappagowda, Karnataka Biodiversity Board Chairman Ananth Hegde Ashishar, Karnataka Western Ghats Conservation Task Force Chairman Ravi Kushalappa, Karnataka Skill Development Authority Chairperson K. Ratnaprabha, Karnataka State Temperance Board Chairperson Shruthi, MySugar Chairman J. Shivalingegowda, Karnataka State Women’s Commission Chairperson R. Pramila Naidu, Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy Chairman Sunil Puranik and Agriculture Price Commission Chairman Hanumagouda Belagurki, among others.
