‘Nritya Sapthaha’ from Oct. 14

Nrityagiri Performing Arts and Research Centre’s week-long Silver Jubilee celebrations & Guru Vandana programme

Mysore/Mysuru: ‘Nritya Sapthaha,’ a week-long Silver Jubilee celebrations and Guru Vandana programme has been organised by Nrityagiri Performing Arts and Research Centre, Mysuru, at Veene Seshanna Bhavan in Kuvempunagar from Oct. 14 to 20  at 6 pm on all days.

This programme aims to help the upcoming artistes of Nrityagiri by barring the expensive Rangapraveshas and by providing a platform in a meagre budget.

A total of seven disciples of Nrityagiri Director Dr. Kripa Phadke will perform during the week-long event for which Sri Rajeshwari Vasthralankara has provided costumes and make-up.

Oct. 14: Guru Vandana by M. Radha. She will be accompanied by Vidu. Nagashree Phanindra Kumar on natuvanga, Vidu. Deepthi Srinath on vocal, Vid. Janardhan on mridanga and Vid. A.P. Krishna Prasad on flute. Vidu. Suma Sriharsha will be the comperer.

Rashtrotthana Parishat Vice-President A.R. Dwarakanath will preside while GSS Yogic Research Foundation Head Yogatma D. Srihari and Vedic astrologer Dr. Vidwan C.S. Sriharsha will be the chief guests.

Oct. 15: Guru Vandana by C.S. Shreya. Natuvanga: Vidu. Sameeksha Manukumar; Vocalist: Vid. Rohith Bhat; Mridanga: Vid. Lingaraju; Flute: A.P. Krishna Prasad; Comperer: Vidu. Sanjana Goghate.

Retired Principal of University Fine Arts College Vidu. Dr. R.N. Sreelatha will preside. Well-known percussionist Vid. G.S. Ramanujan will be the chief guest.

Oct. 16: Guru Vandana by A.N. Surabhi. Natuvanga: Vidu. Sanjana Goghate; Vocalist – Vidu. Deepthi Srinath; Mridanga: Vid. Janardhan; Flute: Vid. A.P. Krishna Prasad; Comperer:  Vidu. Akshata Srinivas.

Sri Vyasaraja Mutt (Sosale) Seer Sri 1008 Vidhya Shreesha Theertha Swamiji will grace the occasion. University of Mysore (UoM) Molecular Biology HoD Dr. K. Gopal Marathe will preside. Sarada Vilas College Sanskrit Prof. C.K. Srinivasamurthy will be the chief guest.

Oct. 17: Guru Vandana by Tanmayi Kishore. Natuvanga: Vidu. Pooja Sugam; Vocalist: Vid. Rohith Bhat; Mridanga: Vid. Lingaraju; Flute: Vid. A.P. Krishna Prasad; Comperer: Vidu. S.C. Kathyayini.

Maharshi Institutions (Mysuru) Head Dr. Bhavani Shankar will preside. LIC of India retired Assistant Division Head HVLN Achar will be the chief guest.

Oct. 18: Guru Vandana by Mahima Baskar. Natuvanga: Vidu. Sameeksha Manukumar; Vocalist: Vid. Rohith Bhat; Mridanga: Vid. Lingaraju; Flute: Vid. A.P. Krishna Prasad; Comperer: Vidu. Kanchanashree.

Ganabharathi (Mysuru) Vice-President H.R. Sundareshan will preside. Samskara Bharathi Chief Patron Vidu. Padma Ananth will be the chief guest.

Oct. 19: Guru Vandana by S.R. Ranjitha. Natuvanga: Vidu. Pooja Sugam; Vocalist: Rohith Bhat; Mridanga: Vid. Lingaraju; Flute: Vid. A.P. Krishna Prasad; Comperer: Rama Ajit.

Renowned flautist and vocalist ‘Karnataka Kalashri’ Vid. C.A. Nagaraj will preside. Sharada Kala Kendra Director Vidu. Rekha Venkatesh will be the chief guest.

Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering (JSS IT Campus), Electronics and Computer Science Associate Professor Dr. A.G. Veena will preside. VVS B.M. Sri Educational Institution (Mysuru) Principal N. Ramesh will be the chief guest.
