NSUI calls for College Bandh on Dec. 17

Mysore/Mysuru: Seeking redressal of student issues, the Congress affiliated NSUI (National Students Union of India) has called for a Statewide College Bandh on Dec.17.

Addressing a press meet here on Thursday, NSUI District President R. Balaraj said that PU, Degree and Higher education students were facing several problems which chiefly included inordinate delay in announcement of exam results, student scholarship issues, transport issues and fee hike in Government Colleges, among others.

Accusing the BJP Government of failing to address student issues, Balaraj said that the NSUI has called for College Bandh on Dec. 17 seeking infrastructure improvement in Government Colleges, timely announcement of exam results, immediate release of student scholarships, which has been stalled for some time, distribution of free bus pass for all needy students and roll back of hiked college fees.

NSUI office-bearers Majid, Gautam, Poojashri, Mahadevaswamy and others were present.
