Mysuru: Sri Kalabhyraveshwara House Building Co-operative Society, The Heritage Souharada Co-operative Society, District Treasury Credit Co-operative Society, Physically-challenged persons Multi-purpose Co-operative Society, Sadvidya Co-operative Hospital, Vastav House Building Co-operative Society, Chandragupta Maurya House Building Co-operative Society, Bindusara House Building Co-operative Society, Sri Vinayaka Credit Co-operative Society, Murugadevi Consumers Co-operative Society, Sri Housing Co-operative Society and Mannehundi Milk Producers Union Women Co-operative Society in the city, Sri Keteshwara Medara Girijana Bamboo Crafts Industrial Co-operative Society, Medara Stree, Vinayaka Colony in T. Narasipura Taluk and Chinnamballi Primary Agricultural Credit Co-operative Society in Nanjangud Taluk have ceased functioning for a long time.

The Office of the Joint Registrar of Co-operatives, Mysuru, has not received any petitions from the members of these Societies or from the public seeking revival of these inactive Societies. As such, the Department, as per Section 72 of the Karnataka Co-operative Societies Act 1959, has decided to liquidate these Co-operative Societies for which it has invited objections, if any, in writing, within 10 days, according to a press release.
