Madikeri:  The body of Manjula (15), who was buried in the landslide and washed away in flood that hit Jodupala village an year ago during last August, is yet to be traced.

Manjula was the daughter of Somaiah, a resident of Bettathur. She was studying in 10th standard at Mademaheshwara High School at Madenadu. As there was just one bus plying towards Madenadu, Somaiah has made arrangements for his daughter to stay at Basappa’s house, a relative at Jodupala.

The landslide and flood at 8 am on Aug.16 last year submerged the house of the relative Basappa washing away his family members Gowramma, Monisha and himself along with Manjula. Barring Manjula, the bodies of other three persons were recovered and cremated.
