Over 700 staff, students vaccinated at AIISH

Mysore/Mysuru: The Covid vaccination programme for staff and students of All India Institute of Speech and Hearing (AIISH) was held from Jan.27 to 29.  During the 3-day vaccination programme, nearly 700 staff and students were vaccinated.

 N. Parimala, who is the senior most employee and also Assistant Registrar of the Institute, was the first to get the vaccination followed by Dr. M. Pushpavathi, Director of the Institute.  

Parimala is also a cancer survivor who sets as a role model for youngsters. An expert team comprising Dr. Sundara Raju, Dr. G. Rajeshwari and Dr. Prakash assisted by nurses and staff members took all precautionary measures for smooth vaccination programme.  The institute had exclusively earmarked three rooms for vaccination, observation etc., following all the protocols.  A mechanism for monitoring of the programme and the side effects had also been taken care of, according to a press release from AIISH.
