Mysore/Mysuru: Padma Awardees from city will be honoured and felicitated at ‘Vandane Abhinandane’ programme jointly organised by Akhila Bharatiya Sahitya Parishat, Mysuru, H.V. Rajeev Sneha Balaga, Mysuru, Hoysala Karnataka Sangha, Mysuru, and various Educational Institutions of Mysuru at Kalamandira on Hunsur Road in city tomorrow (Feb. 11) at 5 pm.
District in-Charge Minister S.T. Somashekar will inaugurate the programme. Suttur Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji will grace the occasion while former Kuvempu Bhasha Bharathi Chairman Dr. Pradhan Gurudatta will be the main speaker.
Padma Awardees — noted writer Dr. S.L. Bhyrappa (Padma Bhushan – 2023), Millet Man Dr. Khadar Valli Dudekula (Padma Shri – 2023), Archaeological Chemist S. Subbaraman (Padma Shri – 2023) and Editor-Publisher of Sudharma Sanskrit Daily K.S. Jayalakshmi (Padma Shri – 2020) — will be honoured.
Researcher Dr. H.V. Nagaraja Rao, Associate Professor of Ancient History and Archaeology Dr. Rohitha Eswer and Organic farmer Honnur Prakash will speak about the awardees, according to a press release from former MUDA Chairman H.V. Rajeev.
