Parking complex near Zoo Allot more space to park buses than two-wheelers

June 13, 2017

Sir,

It appears that at last the authorities concerned have decided to help the tourists visiting Mysuru by constructing a multi-storey parking complex near Mysuru  Zoo, as per the press statement issued by the District in-charge Minister Dr. H. C. Mahadevappa.

As per the information, it is proposed to have space to park 20 buses and 500 two-wheelers.

Do we need space to park 500 two-wheelers? Two-wheelers are usually used by the local population to visit Mysuru Zoo and rarely by tourists. Most of the tourists come by bus or car.

It will be wise to allot more space to park buses than two-wheelers.  Else, buses will again block all the roads leading to Mysuru  Zoo causing traffic chaos as it is happening now.
