Peaceful eco-protest against MUDA this evening

March 26, 2019

Mysuru:  A peaceful eco-protest against MUDA will be staged by the children aged 3 to 14 years of Gokulam, today at 5.30 pm in Gokulam 2nd Stage (Small Park by the Sweeper’s Colony).

The event is an exhibition of children’s artwork themed: Park Life, Nature, Rangoli and free drawing and peaceful eco- demonstration.

Reason: It has been at least, three years since MUDA totally neglected this very small park that could be easily maintained at least once a week, like all the other Gokulam Parks.

There are no plants, no playground, toys, no benches to sit. There are only two trees. The Park’s gates are kept locked. It is a very hazardous place, as it is being used as dump of all types of garbage.

“Over the past three years, the kids and I have cleaned the park ourselves trying to make things better, however we don’t have the tools to do it safely, nor it is our jobs to do it,” says a concerned Fabiana, who has organised this eco-protest. For details call Mob: 95131-19606.
