Pencil portrait expo of outstanding women held

Mysuru:  As part of International Women’s Day, a pencil portrait expo of 62 outstanding women personalities by artist U.G. Mohankumar  Aradhya was held at Suchitra Arts Gallery at Kalamandira in city on Sunday.

The artist displayed the portraits of women who had contributed for the growth of society in various fields including sports, science, social reforms, freedom movement, women who stood for valour and courage among others. Portraits of Mother Teresa, Gangubai Hanagal, Jhansi Rani Laxmibai and others were also exhibited.

Keerthi Mahila Abhivruddhi Samsthe President Manjula Ramesh inaugurated the exhibition. Sharadavani Mahila Samskrutika Prathistana Chairperson A.S. Vani Subbaiah,  Akashavani artiste Vasanth Venkatesh and others were present during the inauguration.
