Personal problems must not haunt advocates: Former Justice Chandrashekaraiah

November 4, 2018

Mysuru: Observing that personal matters must not haunt advocates as it hurts their profession, former UPA-Lokayukta Justice (retd.) Chandrashekaraiah has maintained that it is vital for advocates to concentrate more on their professionalism.

He was speaking after inaugurating a programme organised by Mysuru Advocates Housing Co-operative Society at the District Courts Complex here yesterday to mark the completion of its layout in city.

Pointing out that there were more 1,500 advocates enrolled with Mysuru Bar Association, Justice Chandrashekaraiah said most of them were from rural areas and did not have sites of their own. In such a scenario, the Advocates Housing Co-operative Society has come as a boon to shelterless advocates, he said.

Lauding the Society for its keenness in distributing sites to its members, he called upon the Lawyers to deliver justice to their clients. Tourism Minister S.R. Mahesh in his address, said that the society overcame all hurdles in the formation of the layout through sheer professionalism of the lawyers.

Stating that he was happy about the formation of the layout in a short span of time, Mahesh said he was willing to extend full co-operation of the Government for the development of the layout.
