Bengaluru: In some good news for the teaching fraternity, the Government on Friday said that 148 Physical Education (PE) teachers serving in Government High Schools across the State will be promoted.

In a press release issued  here yesterday, Primary and Secondary Education Minister S. Suresh Kumar said that an order on promoting 148 PE teachers (Grade-1) serving in various High schools as Physical Education Supervisors (Group-B cadre) has been issued. The promoted teachers can choose their place of work during the counselling to take place on June 21, he said and added that the long pending demand of Karnataka State Physical  Education Teachers  Association has been met.
