Plea to clear garbage, weeds at Rajivnagar

January 19, 2020

Garbage and overgrown weeds have become a big headache to the residents of Rajivnagar 2nd Stage. They say that non-clearance of garbage by the civic works was leading to the garbage getting scattered on the road which sometimes enter houses due to wind.

Picture below shows scattered garbage and weeds grown in a vacant site at Rajivnagar 2nd Stage, 17th Cross. Residents say that every time they lodge a complaint in the MCC website, they get a message that the complaint has been resolved when the fact is that the complaint is not attended to. They say that they are afraid to leave the kids to play outside due to fear of snakes and other reptiles which have taken shelter in the bushes and overgrown weeds. Authorities concerned are urged to take steps to get the garbage cleared on time.
