Plea to prevent defacing public name boards

June 30, 2018

Many public name and sign boards in city are being defaced by pasting handbills and posters which is marring the beauty of the city. Name board (Snake Shyam Road) erected by the MCC in Vijayanagar 2nd Stage is one such example. Authorities concerned are urged to prevent such defacing and impose fines on people who indulge in such acts.

In a tourist town like Mysore, the public signboards are written only Kannada. It would be of great help to tourists if especially the road signboards are written both in Kannada & English

    • Vinay says:

No need. Mysore has earned the tourist city tag and also has maintained a good status for Kannada. Our Mysoreans are good at answering people in many languages. With the advent of Google maps, 90% of the tourists depend on Google maps. Complaints received by tourists is very less in this regard
