Police Constable dies of heart attack

Mysuru:  A 27-year-old Constable attached to Kuvempunagar Police Station died after suffering from a massive heart attack yesterday morning. The deceased Constable is Nagendra, son of Javaranayaka and a resident of Chikkabherya in K.R. Nagar taluk. Nagendra had joined the Police Department four years ago.

Nagendra, after completing his night shift on Wednesday, was leaving the Police Station to his house when he complained of severe chest pain. His colleagues immediately took him K.R. Hospital, where the doctors after examining Nagendra told his colleagues that Nagendra had suffered a heart attack and advised them to get him admitted to Jayadeva Hospital. But Nagendra breathed his last while being shifted to Jayadeva Hospital, according to Kuvempunagar Inspector.

The body was shifted to MMC&RI mortuary, where post-mortem was conducted and the body was later handed over to his family members.

Kuvempunagar Inspector and staff accompanied the body to Chikkabherya village, where the last rites were performed.
