KRS: Materials worth over Rs. 50 lakh was destroyed in a fire caused by short circuit at a hardware shop near Hosa Anandur Gate near KRS last night.

The incident took place at Santosh Hardware, belonging to Chethan, a resident of Mysuru.

Fire was noticed at the shop by the public at about 8 pm last night and immediately the Fire Service Station was informed. But by the time the fire extinguisher arrived, fire had already spread in the shop destroying the materials stocked inside the shop.

Fire and Emergency Services personnel doused the fire and prevented it from spreading further.
