Police Constable recruitment: Aspirants appeal for age relaxation

June 25, 2017

Mysuru: Police Constable post aspirants have appealed the Government to relax age limit by at least a couple of years.

The State Government recently issued a notification for the appointment of Police Constables fixing an upper age limit of 25 years for General Category candidates and 27 years for SC/ST candidates.

The aspirants, in a memorandum to the Home Minister on June 20, have sought age relaxation so that unemployed rural youths get an opportunity.

The Home Minister’s Personal Secretary Prabhulinga Kavalakatti, who received the memorandum, has written to the Additional Chief Secretary for necessary action in this  regard, it is learnt.
