September 22, 2022

Mysore/Mysuru: City Police Commissioner Dr. Chandragupta has suspended a Police Constable for his involvement with rowdy-sheeters and joining hands with matka racketeers.

The Constable who has been suspended is Suresh, attached to Jayalakshmipuram Police Station in city.

Suresh is learnt to have kept in touch with one Abdul Zameer, a prime bookie in matka business, who is also involved in criminal cases and had joined hands with anti-social elements who were indulging in anti Police activities, following which the City Police Commissioner ordered his (Suresh) suspension pending Departmental enquiry.

There were many complaints against Suresh while he was serving in the Mysuru City Special Division earlier. As a punishment transfer, Suresh was transferred to Jayalakshmipuram Police Station on Dec. 22, 2021. Instead of correcting himself, Suresh had joined hands with rowdy-sheeters and was involved in anti-social activities, the order stated.
