Police Officer, friend nab thief fleeing with money

Mysore/Mysuru: A Police Officer, with the help of his friend has nabbed a thief who was fleeing after snatching the money he was holding. The incident took place at Jaganmohan Palace premises on Wednesday afternoon.

The Police Officer, who nabbed the thief, is H.P. Madhusudhan, an Officer at Karnataka State Reserve Police (KSRP) 5th Battalion. Madhusudhan, along with his friend Anand had come to attend a music programme at Jaganmohan Palace at about 4.30 pm on Jan. 22 and was holding a Rs. 2,000 currency note to give it to his friend at the parking lot, when a thief, identified as Ravi of Bengaluru, snatched the currency note and fled from the spot.

Madhusudhan, who shouted for help, chased the thief with the help of his friend Anand, caught him and handed him over to Devaraja Police.

Devaraja Police, who have registered a case, are investigating.
