Political parties should not vandalise Fountain Circles

March 6, 2017

Sir,

I was heart-broken last evening on seeing the newly-constructed Elephant Fountain Circle at Moulana Abul Kalam Azad Circle (Highway Circle) vandalised by a political party with its flags wrapped all around etc.

There is every chance of such beautiful elephant statue with trunk and tusk getting damaged, if it is not already damaged.

Party workers in order to welcome their leaders take to this kind of decorating the area with flex, buntings, cut-outs etc., disfiguring such beautiful fountains.

Therefore, these political leaders should warn their followers that they would not participate in the function if such kind of decoration and vandalism is done to public properties in order to receive them for the function.
