Post-Graduate Medical students demand reduction in academic fees

June 22, 2021

Warn of Statewide stir

Mysore/Mysuru: The Karnataka Resident Doctors Association has urged the Government to reduce academic fee of Post-Graduate Medical students (2020-21) in the wake of COVID crisis.

In a press release, the Association maintained that Karnataka is charging more academic fees than any other State for PG Medical students.

Pointing out that PG students, apart from their academic activities, are also rendering medical duties at hospitals, it said that the Government must reduce fees in the better interests of medical service.

The Association warned of staging a Statewide stir from Monday, if the demand for fee reduction is ignored by the Government.
