Post Office Passport Seva Kendra to be shifted from Metagalli

December 28, 2022

Mysore/Mysuru: The Post Office Passport Seva Kendra (POPSK) that is operating from Metagalli Post Office will soon move to the new building built by MUDA at Linganna Circle in Ittigegud Layout near Mysuru Zoo.

On Jan. 25, 2017, Mysuru got its own POPSK and an extended part of the Post Office in Metagalli was designed as the Seva Kendra. Now as the POPSK is providing good service to the people there is an increased demand. This has also led to a space crunch at Metagalli Post Office.

During an inspection of the newly constructed building this morning, MP Pratap Simha and MUDA Chairman Yashaswi Somashekar directed the officers to hand over the building to POPSK so that the Kendra can function efficiently without feeling the space crunch. Over 70 to 100 people visit the Kendra every day to get passports, renewals and other related services. Earlier, people had to travel to Bengaluru to apply for fresh passports and other issues.
