Postman ends life

Mysuru: A 45- year-old postman reportedly ended life by hanging self at a Sports Club in city this morning.

Raju, a postman attached to Jayapura Post Office in the Taluk is the deceased.

Raju, who is said to be a non-permanent member of Viveka Sports Club in Vivekanandanagar, had stayed in the club for the past three days. But as Raju did not come out of his room this morning, the club staff getting suspicious, opened the window when they found him hanging from the ceiling of a fan, following which the matter was reported to the jurisdictional Kuvempunagar Police Station.

The Police, who rushed to the spot, conducted mahazar and shifted the body to K.R. Hospital mortuary for Post-mortem, it is learnt.

The cause for Raju to take the extreme step is yet to be known, according to the Police.
