Prabhavana Rath Yatra arrives in city

Mysuru: ‘Prabhavana Rath Yatra,’ the publicity vehicle of Mahamasthakabhisheka of Bahubali to be held in Sharavanabelagola next month, arrived in city this morning.

The ‘Prabhavana Rath Yatra’ was received in front of Kote Anjaneyaswamy Temple by MLA Vasu, Mysore Palace Board Deputy Director T.S. Subramanya, Digambar Jain Samaj President M.R. Sunil Kumar, Secretary C.P. Ajit Kumar, Padmashri Jain Mahila Samaj President Sheela Anantharaju, former MLC G. Madhusudan, Corporators Prashanth Gowda, Snake Shyam and others.

The Rath Yatra was taken through Gandhi Square, Ashoka Road and Nehru Circle to reach Jain Bhavan in Halladakeri. About 200 members of Jain Samaj were part of the procession.

Speaking on the occasion, MLA Vasu said that the Government had released Rs.175 crore for the Mahamasthakabhisheka, which is expected to attract lakhs of devotees.
