Seeks Congress support

Bengaluru: Three  days after filing his nominations for the Hassan parliamentary seat,  JD(S)-Congress Coalition candidate Prajwal Revanna, son of PWD Minister H.D. Revanna, visited former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Dy.CM Dr. G. Parameshwara and Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President Dinesh Gundu Rao  and sought their support for his candidature. Prajwal, who arrived alone, spoke with three leaders for some time, before heading back to Hassan for his election campaign.

Speaking to reporters after meeting Siddaramaiah at his official residence ‘Cauvery’ in city yesterday, Prajwal said that his family had maintained good ties with Siddaramaiah and he knew the former CM from his childhood. “He has promised to campaign for me in Assembly constituencies like Kadur, Arakalgudu, Arasikere and Hassan (where Siddaramaiah’s community, the Kurubas are present in large numbers). I have come here to seek his blessings,” Prajwal said

Answering a question, the grandson of JD(S) Supremo H.D. Deve Gowda said that he was not scared of Hassan BJP candidate A. Manju, just because he was able to ensure a huge gathering when he filed his nomination.

“I have never criticised him, nor I will resort to such a style of politics. You can get a crowd by paying money, I don’t need to do such things,” he added.

Later he met Dr. Parameshwara at the Office of Bengaluru Development Authority. Dr. Parameshwara promised to campaign for Prajwal at Sakaleshpur constituency and few places of Hassan and other places.

Speaking to media after meeting Dinesh Gundu Rao at KPCC Office , Prajawal said that Dinesh Gundu Rao has also promised to campaign for him in Hassan.
