Mysore/Mysuru: The State Bank of India has introduced Premium-free Personal Accident Insurance for Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) employees who have their salary account in the bank.
If the beneficiaries of the insurance die of accident, the family members will receive Rs. 50 lakh as compensation and their children will get Rs. 5 lakh for degree education and for the girl children, if any, they will get Rs. 5 lakh assistance for their marriage. For those beneficiaries who will be permanently or partially disabled after the accident will receive a compensation of Rs. 10 lakh.
The insurance may be claimed even when the KSRTC employees are retired or in service. For beneficiaries, who undergo plastic surgery, Rs. 10 lakh will be provided. The family members of the employee, who dies in coma, will receive Rs. 50 lakh, Rs. 2 lakh in addition, air ambulance service with Rs. 10 lakh insurance compensation.
This insurance is to help family members of KSRTC employees including them, according to a press release from Mysuru Division KSRTC Divisional Controller.
